About the university
Griffith University is a public university in South East Queensland with campuses in Brisbane, Logan and on the Gold Coast. It is ranked 230th in the world by QS (joint) and 266th by Times Higher Education for 2027.
Griffith teaches a wide range of subjects, including IT, analytics and cyber security, psychology, marine science, social work and medicine. It runs on a trimester calendar, so many degrees have more than one start date a year.
Indian students look at Griffith for its ranking, its IT and AI master's degrees (such as the Master of Information Technology and the Master of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence), and for life in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast, which are usually cheaper than Sydney or Melbourne.
Its top international award, the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship, covers 50% of tuition for the whole degree for a small number of high achievers.
