About the university

Cambrian College is a public college in Greater Sudbury, Northern Ontario, which has taught students since 1967 and has more than 90,000 graduates. It offers more than 80 programmes, from one-year graduate certificates to three-year bachelor's degrees in applied computing and business.

Cambrian is a college, not a university. Teaching is practical, with labs, field placements and paid internships in its degree programmes. It is known for engineering technology, mining-related trades, health and computing, and is nationally recognised for Indigenous education.

Indian students look at Cambrian for its relatively low fees, graduate certificates such as Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and its degrees in applied computing and business administration. Not every programme is eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): each programme page shows a "PGWP Eligible" line, so check it before you apply.

Sudbury is a city of more than 160,000 people with a lower cost of living than Toronto. Winters are long and cold, so plan for proper winter clothing.
