About the university
Concordia University is a public, English-language university in Montreal, formed in 1974. It has more than 48,000 students across four faculties: Arts and Science, the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, the John Molson School of Business and Fine Arts.
Concordia is known for engineering, computer science, software engineering research and business. Its John Molson MBA is listed by The Princeton Review (2027) as Canada's best on-campus MBA, and most of its engineering and computing master's degrees offer optional paid co-op internships.
Concordia is one of the most popular Canadian universities with Indian students, especially for course-based MEng and Master of Applied Computer Science degrees, which have three intakes a year. Course-based master's tuition is fixed for your cohort.
Montreal is a bilingual city with lower rents than Toronto or Vancouver. French is the main language of the province, so some part-time jobs need French, but Concordia teaches in English.
