About the university
Curtin University Dubai is the UAE campus of Curtin University, which is based in Western Australia. Curtin and Transnational Academic Group launched the campus in 2018. It is permitted by Dubai's KHDA, which gave it a 5-star rating in 2022, and received its initial institutional licence from the UAE's Commission for Academic Accreditation in January 2025.
The campus teaches business, commerce, IT, cyber security, psychology, design, architecture and mechanical engineering at bachelor's level, and one-year master's degrees in artificial intelligence and cyber security, an MBA in International Business and a Master of Engineering Management. Curtin says the curriculum mirrors its Australian campus in most cases.
Indian students look at Curtin Dubai for an Australian university's degree at Dubai fees, three-year bachelor's degrees, and one-year master's degrees in AI and cyber security (AED 84,000 in total). Pathway programmes (AED 52,500–54,600) help students who do not yet meet direct entry.
The campus is in Dubai, and several of the student residences Curtin lists are in Dubai International Academic City.

Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- Class 12 from CBSE, CISCE or a state board; Curtin Dubai lists the grades it accepts in its academic requirements document, so check your board with admissions.
- Students who do not meet direct entry can start with an 8-month pathway programme (AED 52,500–54,600).
- Apply online or by emailing the application form to admissions, then send transcripts, English scores, photos and passport.
Postgraduate
- A recognised bachelor's degree; check the academic requirements document for the grade needed for your course.
- The Graduate Certificate in Business Fundamentals (5 months) is a shorter postgraduate option.
- Qualified applicants receive an offer letter and acceptance pack.

How much does a bachelor's degree at Curtin Dubai cost?
Most three-year bachelor's degrees cost AED 182,700 in total (about AED 60,900 a year), including VAT. Architectural Science is AED 195,300 and the four-year Mechanical Engineering degree AED 260,400. A one-off registration fee of AED 3,500 applies.
How much is a master's?
The 12-month Master of Artificial Intelligence and Master of Cyber Security cost AED 84,000 each. The 16-month MBA in International Business is AED 115,500 and the Master of Engineering Management AED 91,350.
When are the intakes?
In the 2026 calendar, undergraduate business and science courses started in January, May and August/September, and postgraduate courses in February and August/September. Check the 2027 calendar when it is published.
What IELTS score do I need?
Curtin Dubai sets minimum scores in its academic requirements document, which we could not open. Confirm the score for your course with admissions before booking a test.
Are there scholarships for Indian students?
Several awards are open to international students, including Academic Excellence, Professional Excellence (postgraduate), Women in STEM and the Early Bird Bursary. Amounts are not published.
