About the university
Hochschule Fresenius Heidelberg is the Heidelberg campus of Hochschule Fresenius, a private university of applied sciences whose roots go back to a chemistry school founded in 1848. In Baden-Württemberg it is state-recognised and run by Hochschule Fresenius für Internationales Management GmbH.
The Heidelberg campus teaches business and management, psychology and business psychology, and real estate. Fees here are lower than at most Fresenius campuses: €750 a month for the programmes we checked, against €850 in cities such as Munich, Cologne and Hamburg.
Indian students should note that almost all Heidelberg programmes are taught in German. The one partly English option is the BA International Business with an International Management focus, which is taught in German and English. If you want a fully English programme, look at the Fresenius campuses in Cologne, Berlin or Munich instead.
Heidelberg is a historic university city on the River Neckar, close to Mannheim and the Rhine-Neckar region's employers.

Admission requirements
Undergraduate
- You need a school qualification that gives access to German higher education. An Indian Class 12 certificate on its own usually does not; check your case with Fresenius admissions.
- Most bachelor's programmes have no numerus clausus (grade cut-off), and several accept applications all year.
- You need German at university level for the German-taught programmes, and German plus English for International Business.
- Indian applicants need an APS certificate for the visa process; see our Germany guide.
Postgraduate
- The MSc Psychology needs a psychology bachelor's with a grade of 'good' or better.
- Fresenius master's generally ask for a 180 CP bachelor's, so a three-year Indian degree can qualify.
- The Heidelberg master's are taught in German.

- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
