About the university

Macromedia University of Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognised university with its registered seat in Potsdam. It began teaching in Munich in 2006 as a media college and has since grown to about 5,500 students. It is institutionally accredited by the German Science and Humanities Council.

Macromedia is known for media, design, film, journalism, management and psychology. Its international programmes are taught 100% in English at the Berlin and Munich campuses, and include bachelor's in artificial intelligence, software engineering, business management and psychology, and master's and MBAs in business, marketing, media and data analytics.

Indian students choose Macromedia for creative and business programmes in English, two intakes a year and late application deadlines. It is a private university, so fees are much higher than at public German universities; compare carefully and check the study mode, as some MBAs are part-time.

Berlin is Germany's capital and start-up hub; Munich is one of its richest and most expensive cities. Both have tight housing markets, so plan early.
