Scholarships in Lithuania at a glance

Quick read

  • Lithuanian universities offer some of the most generous awards in the Baltics: VILNIUS TECH waives 25%, 50% or 100% of tuition for strong international applicants.
  • Vilnius University gives full master's tuition waivers to five non-EU applicants a year.
  • Most scholarship deadlines fall in April for a September start, well before admission deadlines.
  • The Lithuanian government funds one-semester study visits for students from eligible countries, including India.
  • Erasmus Mundus programmes with Lithuanian partners such as KTU, VU and VILNIUS TECH fully fund top master's applicants.

Lithuania's fees are moderate, and several universities offer real fee waivers to international students. The catch is timing: most awards close in April, and some need interviews, so you have to apply early in the admission cycle.

Values below are as published by each provider for the 2026–27 cycle. Expect similar awards for 2027–28 and check the new dates when they appear.
