Scholarships in Malta at a glance
Quick read
- Malta has very few scholarships for non-EU students. The University of Malta's scholarships page currently says no scholarships are available.
- The most realistic funding comes from Erasmus Mundus joint master's that include Maltese partners, and from Indian trusts such as K.C. Mahindra and J N Tata.
- Once enrolled at a Maltese university, you may be able to spend a semester elsewhere in Europe with an Erasmus+ exchange grant.
- Malta Enterprise's Get Qualified scheme refunds part of course fees as a tax credit, but only helps if you later pay tax in Malta.
- Because funding is limited, plan your budget on the full fee and living costs.
Malta is an English-speaking EU country with moderate fees, but scholarship options for Indian students are limited. Public institutions focus their funding on Maltese and EU students, and private colleges mostly offer occasional discounts rather than formal scholarships.
We list only funding that is real and open to Indian students, so you can plan honestly. Ask us about any current discount at the specific college you are considering.
