About the university
The American University of Malta is a private university that opened in 2016 in Cospicua (Bormla), on the Grand Harbour opposite Valletta. It follows an American-style model, with credit-based courses, general education requirements and teaching in English, and says it offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes.
AUM is one of Malta's newest higher-education institutions and remains small. Its programmes have focused on business, computer science and engineering-related subjects. Because we could not read its current programme pages, we have not listed courses or fees here.
For Indian students, the appeal is an American-style degree in an English-speaking EU country. Before applying, confirm with AUM which programmes run in your intake, the full cost in writing, the awarding status of the degree, and that the course qualifies for a Maltese study visa (a full-time course at MQF level 5 or above at an MFHEA-licensed provider).
