About the university

Saxion University of Applied Sciences is a public university of applied sciences with campuses in Enschede, Deventer and Apeldoorn, in the east of the Netherlands near the German border. Its bachelor's take four years and are practical, with projects and placements.

Saxion offers many English-taught bachelor's, including Applied Computer Science, Mechatronics, International Business, International Finance and Accounting, Hotel Management, Tourism Management, Creative Media and Game Technologies, and engineering programmes. Its master's include an MSc in Applied Nanotechnology in Enschede and a one-year master's in ICT: Software Engineering in Deventer.

For Indian students, Saxion is one of the more affordable Dutch options: every bachelor's costs €9,360 a year for non-EU students in 2026/27, and housing in Enschede and Deventer is cheaper than in the big cities. Note that Saxion sets an earlier deadline (1 April) for Indian applicants because of visa processing.
