About the university
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) began in 1968 as the Instituto Politécnico Superior de Valencia and became a university in 1971. It has about 28,000 students on three campuses: the main Vera campus in Valencia, and campuses in Alcoy and Gandia.
UPV is a public technical university covering engineering, architecture, computing, telecommunications, biotechnology, business and fine arts. It teaches around 650 courses in English, and several bachelor's degrees, including Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Business Administration, offer a large share of their teaching in English.
For Indian students the main draw is low public fees on English-taught master's. In 2026-27 international (Type 2) students pay €70.68 per ECTS on most master's, about €4,240 for a 60-credit year, and only €34.68 per credit on profession-enabling master's such as Industrial and Telecommunication Engineering, though these are taught partly in Spanish and Valencian.
Valencia is a large Mediterranean city; the main Vera campus is in the city itself.
