About the university
The University of Alcalá traces its origins to 1293 in Alcalá de Henares; the modern public university was founded in 1977. It has about 16,700 students, around 17% of them international.
UAH has a strong technical school, the Escuela Politécnica Superior, which runs master's in cyber security, business analytics and big data, telecommunication and electronic engineering, agile web software development and IT project management. The Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism runs a new MBA and economics master's.
For Indian students the attraction is moderate public fees near Madrid. Most master's list about €5,079 a year for non-EU students without Spanish residence. The catch is language: almost all programmes are in Spanish. The new MBA is taught in Spanish and English.
The faculties of economics and business sit in the historic centre of Alcalá de Henares, while engineering is on the Science and Technology Campus on the Madrid–Barcelona road.
