About the university

The University of Bedfordshire is a public university formed in 2006 from the University of Luton and De Montfort University's Bedford campus, with its main campus at University Square in Luton and a second campus in Bedford. About two-thirds of its roughly 10,000 students are international.

Most taught master's courses use block delivery, with one module at a time in six-week blocks and several entry points through the year. Many business and computing courses also come in two-year versions with project management, data analytics or a placement.

For Indian students the attractions are low fees, flexible start dates and scholarships. The standard 2027/28 fee for a one-year taught master's is £18,250, and Bedfordshire accepts Class 12 English at 70% from CBSE, CISCE and a long list of state boards in place of an English test.

Luton is about 22 minutes from London by direct train. The university notes that Luton and Bedford have large Indian communities, and the students' union has an Indian Society.
