About the university
The University of Brighton has been part of the city since 1859, when it started as a school of art in the kitchens of the Royal Pavilion. Today it is a career-focused university with three campuses in Brighton and links with more than 50 accrediting and awarding bodies.
It is known for art and design, engineering, computing, business, health and sport subjects. All full-time undergraduates can do work-related learning on their course, and many master's courses offer a two-year version with a placement or research year.
For Indian students the attractions are moderate fees, January starts and automatic scholarships. Most master's courses on this page cost £18,792 a year, and the £2,000 Vice-Chancellor scholarship and a £500 early-bird discount are applied automatically to eligible self-funded students. Selected technology and engineering MSc courses add a £2,500 Future STEM Scholars' Award.
