About the university

The University of Roehampton is a public university in south-west London made up of four historic colleges. The oldest, Whitelands College, was founded in 1841 as one of the pioneers of training women as teachers.

Today Roehampton teaches business, computing, health, psychology, education and the arts on a single campus. It describes itself as 'London's campus university' and says it is top 3 in London for student satisfaction.

For Indian students the attractions are a London campus with moderate master's fees (£18,980 for most MSc courses in 2026/27), three intakes a year for many business courses, and an optional Professional Experience Year that turns many one-year master's into a two-year course with a work placement.

The university says its campus accommodation is some of the most affordable in London, with rooms from £115 a week including bills, WiFi and laundry.
