About the university
The University of Westminster began as The Polytechnic Institution, which opened at 309 Regent Street in London on 6 August 1838. It was the first polytechnic, and it became a university in 1992.
Westminster is a central London university with courses in business, computer science and data, media, architecture and design. Its business, finance and marketing master's are taught on the Marylebone campus, and computing courses at Cavendish.
For Indian students the main attractions are a central London location, master's fees that are moderate for London (£18,685 for most business and finance master's in 2027/28), January starts on many courses and a £3,000 International Postgraduate Excellence Award.
Students can live in university halls in Harrow and Hoxton or in partner halls run by Unite Students in Tottenham Hale and Wembley.
