About the university
The University of Wolverhampton traces its roots to 1851, when teaching began at the town's School of Art. Wolverhampton Polytechnic was granted university status in 1992.
Wolverhampton is a public university in the West Midlands with a wide range of computing, data, AI and cyber security courses, and its computing provision is accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT. Many master's courses now include the chance of a professional development work placement.
